True Control 2.0 expands broadcasters’ control networks to cover a much wider range of live content

Hebden Bridge, UK – Calrec is today announcing that its True Control 2.0 is a Remote Production winner in the 2025 NAB Show Product of the Year Awards. This official awards program recognises some of the most significant and promising new products and technologies showcased by exhibitors at NAB Show.
Calrec’s 2nd generation remote production technology, True Control 2.0, which made its Las Vegas NAB debut, is an adaptive IP ecosystem that enables broadcasters to embrace distributed production, minimise costs and scale resources on the fly. With the ability to control up to five Calrec devices simultaneously, True Control 2.0 now encompasses every product across Calrec’s entire IP-native range. At NAB 2025, the company announced an expansion of True Control 2.0 adding control of Calrec’s Apollo+ and Artemis+ consoles to the Argo Q, Argo S, Argo M, Type R, ImPulse, Impulse 1, and ImPulseV mixing engines.

True Control 2.0 can control a channel path’s complete feature set offering a deeper level of remote control from a wider product portfolio. It gives broadcasters the flexibility to scale remote productions, implement disaster recovery, boost remote operations, create back-up scenarios and apply enhanced effects mixing by expanding the number of products they can connect to. This provides greater flexibility to scale production as demand grows or shrinks.
“We launched True Control 2.0 to address the increasingly complex workflows global media companies are exploring, says Sid Stanley, Managing Director, Calrec. It allows broadcasters to control DSP from any location across Calrec’s entire product range. We’d like to thank NAB for this award and the acknowledgement of True Control 2.0 in the Remote Production category.”
NAB Show Product of the Year Award Winners were selected by a panel of industry experts in 16 categories and announced in a live awards ceremony at NAB Show on April 8. To be eligible for an award, nominated products had to come from companies exhibiting at the 2025 NAB Show and be delivered within the 2025 calendar year.
“NAB is proud to recognise the industry’s top work driving a remarkable range of solutions opening new frontiers and shaping the future of content creation, distribution and monetisation,” said Eric Trabb, senior vice president and chief customer success officer at NAB. “Congratulations to Calrec on earning the 2025 NAB Show Product of the Year Award for True Control 2.0 – a breakthrough solution transforming a pivotal stage of the content lifecycle and empowering storytellers to meet today’s challenges while shaping the future of media.”
