Jim Hutchison Joins Avolites to Support US Sales and Training

Avolites’ US distributor, Group One Limited, is pleased to reveal the appointment of Jim Hutchison to the post of sales and training for Avolites. The announcement comes from Jack Kelly, Group One president.

Effective June 15, Hutchison is working directly with Brad White, Group One’s national sales manager for the brand, in interfacing with new and potential customers, providing product demos and training, and servicing existing users of Avolites’ products across America.

Prior to joining Group One, Hutchison most recently served as customer engagement and education manager for Chauvet Professional, following several years spent as a product manager for CAST Software. Since 2007, Hutchison has dually functioned as the president and head of development for Light Associated Media, which is the parent company of the internationally renowned lighting industry website JimOnLight.com.

“As the chief design consultant of Lumen Buddha Studios and creator of the popular website JimOnLight.com, Jim brings both a tremendous enthusiasm and rich understanding of light and design to his new role with us here at Group One and Avolites,” says Kelly. “I know that the many LDs, consultants, dealers, production companies and facilities our lighting division deals with on a daily basis will be in good hands with him on our team, and we eagerly look forward to his contributions.”

Hutchison, himself, adds, “I couldn’t be more excited to be a part of a something that gives me as much creative joy and freedom as Titan does across the Avolites control lines, and I have literally not had my fingers on other buttons since learning Titan back in 2013. I cannot tell you how cool it is to be able to share this with the world, and to show other lighting designers just how easy it is to put forth what we LDs see in our minds’ eyes with Avolites.”
